Rooted in What Counts

My wife and I firmly believe that strong families and supportive communities are essential to helping children thrive. As parents of children in 4th, 3rd, and 1st grade, we are deeply invested in the success of our school and the broader community. We are committed to giving back by volunteering our time and talents in meaningful ways, including serving on hiring committees and assisting with school events throughout the year. These opportunities allow us to support the students, families, and staff who make our school community special. As our children continue to grow and benefit from the experiences and relationships fostered within the school, we look forward to continuing our service and contributing to a positive environment for our families.
Background
Local Resident
As a dedicated resident of the Lake Shore District for a decade, I have witnessed the evolution of our schools firsthand. My connection to the community provides the foundation for a board member who truly understands the needs of our students and families.
Education
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University before pursuing advanced studies. I hold a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Winona State University, and an MBA from Wayne State University. My varied academic background equips me with administrative knowledge in education and fiscal responsibility for our schools.
Community Connected
My family loves being part of the St. Clair Shores community and the traditions that bring neighbors together. We enjoy attending local events, especially the Memorial Day Parade and Music in the Park. These traditions have created lasting memories with our children. Through the city’s summer Playground Program, our children have built friendships and enjoyed meaningful experiences. St. Clair Shores has been a wonderful place to raise our family, and we are grateful for its strong sense of community, pride, and tradition.
